This is a must see destination to visit, just five minutes along the road from Kidwelly Cottage. This is not just your average farm shop selling local fruit and vegetables, it is also an ideal location to take children to with a variety of animals, including alpacas, chickens, goats and donkeys. There is a coffee shop with a balcony in nice weather and extensive views overlooking the countryside.

The Farm Shop is owned by the local Burns family famous for their specialty dog food. The shop sells a wide range of their own products as well as treats, beds, leads the essentials for you and your dog. They offer drop in clinics with advice on your pet’s diet and health, often giving out sample treat bags to make sure your pet can choose their preferred kibble. Dogs are always welcome on leads into the shop and gardens.

There is also a wide range of fresh local produce for sale, including fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, beer, bread etc. The shop also sells home wear, children’s clothing and a range of beautiful gifts, which you are unlikely to find elsewhere.

Upstairs the newly renovated cafe/restaurant is open serving hot food in the day or for those who prefer, a range of fresh sandwiches and is great for a take away coffee while watching the children play outside. The Lunches and Specials Board shows a varied menu allowing everyone to find something to enjoy at a reasonable price. The cakes and sweet treats are certainly something to look forward too.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, delicious restaurant food is served. Booking is advised and recommended as their seasonal menu is gorgeous and very reasonably priced.

The outside has been beautifully landscaped, comprising a vegetable garden with beehives, greenhouses and an area for local community projects. There is also a safe walk alongside the stream into Kidwelly Town Centre.

At the top of the garden walk is the children’s playground with equipment for all ages, swings slides, tunnels, climbing frames and a vintage tractor.

During the summer the outside cafe opens selling ice creams and coffees, snacks and drinks to enjoy outside in the fresh country air.  There are also event days planned throughout the year, with entertainment for children and the band plays in the band stand with music sounding out across the grounds.  These regular events are advertised and supported by locals and visiting guests. No one goes away disappointed whether it’s the Christmas Craft Fair, meeting Father Christmas, Easter celebrations to summer celebrations with live music, BBQs it’s always worth a visit.
