Wow what a fantastic day out for all of our family (& yours).
It is no longer just a farm, we have visited this amazing attraction many times over the years, seeing it grow to a zoo, getting better and better. Now rated one of the top zoos not just in Wales but across the world. Rated 10th best zoo in the world by tripadvisor in 2017.
Where to start… It’s clean, well kept, clear signage, happy animals, well thought out enclosures, plenty of staff, many diverse extra areas for a full fun day whatever the weather!
Firstly the zoo and farm are ahead of the game. The animals you would expect to see at a zoo are here lions, rhinos, giraffes, penguins, zebras the list goes on. As well as the farm for a hands on experience in the huge farm barn where you can stroke and get up close to every day farm animals & rare breeds. Play equipment, exciting interactive stations creating a true learning experience not just for preschoolers but us grown ups too!
The experience continues with the indoor fun fair, yes that’s right. There is a huge undercover barn just dedicated to vintage fair rides. This has been restored and immaculately looked after. Big ticket rides include dodgems, ghost train, waltzer and galloping horses.
Busy children that need to burn off some energy step next door into the huge soft play/ adventure barn. Soft play area for under twos and another for under 5’s exploring safely. wether it’s to cool down on a hot day or burn off energy on a grey day as well as huge climbing areas, slides, tunnels. With plenty of tables and chairs there lots of indoor seating for picnics and a cafe for basic food.
Folly farm has lots of outdoor play areas to enjoy for all ages. Sand pots and diggers for toddlers to huge adventure pirate ships for busy 11 year olds. Plenty of ride on tractors & trucks, picnic benches to enjoy the wonderful scenery.
All in all it’s a farm, zoo and adventure park all in one that provides entertainment from 1 to 99 years old.
